President and Vice-President
- 35 years of age or older
- Reside in the country for last 14 years
- Natural born citizen
US Senators
- 30 years of age or older
- Reside in the state they represent
- Citizens for at least 9 years
US Representatives
- 25 years of age or older
- Reside in the state they represent
- Citizens for at least 7 years
State Senator or State Representative
- 21 years of age or older
- Reside in Florida for 2 years
- Resident of district from which elected
Broward County
- Reside in Broward County, and if representing a specific district, reside in that
district upon election.
Municipal Offices
- Requirements vary from town to town and are outlined in the city’s CHARTER.
- In all municipalities, if there are districts, the representative must live in the
district he/she represents.
